According to General Administration of Customs, the total textile and apparel export of China reached only US $10.29 billion in the month of February. It marks a considerable drop of nearly 32.9 percent, when compared to previous month, representing a decline of 8.5 percent from the same period of 2007.
The export of apparels and accessories fetched nearly $6.49 billion, a plunge of 34.7 percent month-on-month and a year-on-year decline of 12.5 percent.
Yarns, fabrics and manufactured products registered a fall of 29.6 percent, by earning only $3.79 billion through exports, when compared to January, down by 0.7 percent from the same time last year.
However, total textile and apparel exports of China amounted to around $25.62 billion in 2008, an increase of 9.6 percent from the same time last year.
