Major changes to National OJD Program

Chris Groves, President of Sheepmeat Council of Australia said “A National Sheep Health Statement will give purchasers the opportunity to make better informed purchasing decisions based on the health information provided on the statement, thereby reducing the risk of accidently introducing costly diseases onto their property.”
More detailed information explaining the new changes, which includes Prevalence Areas maps , a copy of the new National Sheep Health Statement along with instructions on how to fill in the statement can be downloaded from the new website.
The new OJD website also provides further information on the disease, facts sheets on managing the disease, what the ABC Scheme is and other useful resources about OJD.
