Dow is demonstrating its commitment to the global Health and Hygiene market segment with an expanded presence at INDEX 08 (Geneva, April 15-18). Held every three years, INDEX is one of the largest exhibitions for the nonwovens industry worldwide.
Dow's presence at INDEX will include a two-level stand (No. 1540) near the main entrance to Geneva's Palexpo exhibition hall, where it will demonstrate its broad portfolio of plastic and performance chemicals for applications such as diapers, feminine hygiene products, adult incontinence products, medical garments, hospital disposables and wipes.
In particular, Dow will advance its credentials as a developer of innovative technologies by showcasing the advanced performance of INFUSE™ Olefin Block Copolymers in nonwoven applications. As part of the product forums programme at INDEX, Dow experts will also deliver three technical presentations on INFUSE Olefin Block Copolymers.
“New and innovative nonwoven materials are needed to allow the development of consumer products with new features and advanced performance at improved cost-in-use,” said Jose Pina, Dow's global marketing director for Health & Hygiene. “That is why we are so excited about INFUSE Olefin Block Copolymers, which are excellent positioned for use in extensible and elastic components, as well as in adhesive components, enabling advanced nonwoven products.”
Dow is a leading global supplier of plastics and performance chemicals for the health and hygiene industry, helping to improve comfort and quality of life through innovations in materials science for suppliers and users of diapers, feminine hygiene products, medical disposables, technical nonwovens, wipes and protective garments.
Dow's advanced and comprehensive portfolio includes products which are used to help manufacture water vapor permeable and breathable hygiene films that virtually prevent heat build-up and rash; films, foams, and fibers to help produce comfortable and form-fitting products; and light and ultra-efficient absorbent cores, such as polymeric absorbent cores.
