A project Mistral Technology Park, aimed at bringing together all the industry stake holders has been announced by Techtera of the Rhone-Alps competitiveness cluster.
Techtera aims to encourage innovation, streamline collaboration between manufacturers of technical, functional textiles, and research and training centre's in Rhône-Alpes, and facilitate business access to public subsidies.
The stake holders would include companies, research units, training centres and laboratories. The technology centre has been planned on 14,000 sq.metre of land with a built up area of 12,500 sq. metres at an estimated cost of Euro19.3 million.
The first of institutes planned to open are the French Textile and Garment Institute (IFTH) and Incubatech, a development institute.
Since its inception in 2005, Techtera has approved 39 projects totaling Euro39 million. They have also built tactical relationships with companies & institutes in Germany and Japan
