Spandex market show sluggish trend

Spandex, the synthetic fibre is known for its exceptional elasticity. The industry in China saw a record production last year, and observing a balance between cost of production and profit margin, many entrepreneurs decided to invest in this sector and expand the output capacity.
However, on April 16, general market price of 20D spandex ranged in 100,000-102,000 yuan per ton, market sentiment looked dull. Operation rate from dowmstream spinning factories was fair, but market transaction price continued to slip down.
In the similar line, general market price of 40D spandex is in 57,000-59,000 yuan per ton, with part lowered to 55,000 yuan per ton.
