Textile industry to get eco-friendly with deslime equipment

The project of environmental protection is being carried out by Shishi City to achieve 'zero discharge' industrial waste water.

Presently, more than 20 local dyeing and printing enterprises are using 'deslime equipment' for ecological purposes. This machine has been designed to process all sludge from the waste water after which the residue can serve as a raw material for making brick.

The raw material can be sold to local brick making factory and this way it not only protects the environment but also has economic benefits.

The textile and dying & printing enterprises in the province will soon realize that they can virtually make money out of waste water recovery. According to the statistics, over 30,000 tons of waste water is being recycled by the enterprises every day from which about 10 million yuan can be extracted annually.

Experts have estimated that Shishi City will be able to recycle 100,000 tons of waste water per day by the end of the 11th five year plan of the Government.
