One of the major highlights of the exhibition has been participation of 3-leading Textile Research Associations of India.
The Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA), Silk and Art Silk Mills Research Association (SASMIRA) and Wool Research Association (WRA) have been participating at the exhibition and have unveiled their research work to the textile and clothing industry in order to commercialize their research finding.
The 3-day expo assumes importance as the industry is treading on the innovation path. And the expo is an ideal place for weavers, knitters, home textile and garment manufacturers to examine their raw materials and question their creators and compare and contrast the performance of new fibre and yarn collection as well as their end products.
Networking has become the buzz word of the industry and Fibers & Yarns provides an interactive platform to all types of visitors from consultants to machinery manufacturers, from weavers to spinners, from importers to exporters and from fabric convertors to retailers.
The 2007 edition of the exhibition had received an excellent visitor response. Over 8000 business visitors from all leading textile producing centres of India had visited the show.
The overseas visitors' attendance was also encouraging and exhibitors had concluded substantial international business during the fair. This year, the organizers have received excellent pre-registration response.
