Zipper industry recognizes & adopts product branding policy

In the period between 2002 and 2005, the production value of the zipper industry of Wenzhou City has gone up considerably and presently it earns revenues amounting to 3 billion yuan, up by 20 percent from 2002.
The gradual development of the industry over the past 20 years has given obvious advantages for making zipper equipments and related products which account for 70 percent of China's market share.
Earlier, since the local zipper enterprises mainly produces the support products for clothes, bags, shoes and other products, they did not focus on introducing a brand for their goods.
However, of late, manufacturing firms have realized the need to develop their own brand and therefore investments in independent intellectual property rights have also been on a consistent rise.
