The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have succeeded in swaying another global fashion giant for boycotting wool from Australian mulesed sheep.
Perry Ellis International, one of the world largest retailers of men's suits and sportswear, with an annual revenue of US $830 million from clothes sold in Wal-Mart, Sears and JC Penney stores in the US, has affirmed that it would urge vendors to avoid purchasing wool from suppliers using mulesing.
PETA is sure that a number of other international companies would soon join the list of retailers vehemently protesting against the inhumane and cruel process of traditional and clip mulesing.
