Rising demand in the international market and tight supply in the domestic region is marked as one of the reasons for hike in cotton prices.

Manufacturers are struggling hard to cope with the surging prices of cotton, as they have to shell out more money for purchasing the same. Since January, price trend for cotton had been on the upward side only.

Today, according to Karachi Cotton Association (KCA), prices for this particular raw material stayed at Rs3,375 per mound. However, in the coming months experts anticipate a steep rise for the same.
