Kraig's Spider-Silk Discovery to fuel future entry in diagnostic market

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc. is pleased to announce that as a result of the discovery of diagnostic testing applications for genetically engineered spider-silk polymers, the company intends to vigorously pursue commercial applications in the lucrative diagnostic testing market.
This will add another future revenue possibility to Kraig's multi-channel efforts to commercialize their spider-silk technology in textile, homeland defense and personal security, among others.
"Through our sponsored research program at the University of Notre Dame we were able to identify the potential of protein based fibers (polymers) to incorporate antigens through genetic engineering," stated Kraig Biocraft Laboratories' CEO, Kim Thompson.
"By modifying recombinant fiber to react to various molecules, we should be able to successfully test for the targeted molecules, which could provide highly useful diagnostic data in a multitude of medical and health care applications. The recently announced provisional patent application, which was filed by the University pursuant to our collaborative research and intellectual property agreement, is a watershed event for our revolutionary technology and its broad commercial possibilities."
