21st IFATCC for textile finishing sector

2008 represents a new era for the growth and occupation of new spaces within the worldwide textile business. The contribution of IFATCC will be very important in this process, particularly through the 21st IFATCC INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS.

The textile finishing sector (bleaching, dyeing, printing, finishing, fibres, dyes and auxiliary products, textile machinery and instrumentation) is the key for success in the development of new textile products which comprise the design and fashion, home textiles and technical textiles in all their fields of application.

TOPICS COVERED:
• Current development and research, in bleaching, coloration and finishing
• Surface treatments of textiles: plasma, enzymes, radiations
• Nanotechnology & textile finishing
• Clean technologies & design
• New finishes for technical textiles and new textile structures
• Developments in finishing textile machinery
• Developments in textile testing and instrumentation

Review: All papers will be reviewed by the Technical Committee conference. Authors of accepted papers and posters notified by 15th December 2007.

Full text papers: Full papers of submitted papers and published in the Proceedings CD of the 21stInternational Congress.

Papers will be limited to 10 pages (Arial spaced in English or Spanish). Deadline for reception papers is 15th February 2008.

Location: Congress Centre of Fira II of Barcelona.

Conference fees include: attendance to all lectures, all coffee breaks, 2 lunches on may 7thand 8th (fine Spanish wines included), 2 evening official receptions on may 7thand 8th, and proceedings CD-rom.

Congress languages: English and Spanish. Simultaneous translation in the Plenary Conference Room.

Accomodation: The Spanish Organizing Committee AEQCT will have booked different category hotels at special rates for all congress members and students.
