Hangzhou sends delegation to Dubai for inviting entrepreneurs

The Government of Hangzhou city had recently sent a delegation to Dubai for inviting local merchants to participate in China International Silk Fair and Women's Wear Fair 2008, that is scheduled from October 31 to November 3, in Hangzhou.
In the meeting, Mr Wang Guo Ping, Secretary, Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee, discussed his plans to set up a 'New Silk Road' in the region and aims to collaborate with the entrepreneurs of the Middle East for the same in near future.
The Dubai officials showed interest and consented their active participation in International Silk Fair and Women's Wear Fair, they even agreed to assist Chinese delegation in establishing Silk Road.
At present, Hangzhou owns many science and technology organizations to study silk and to make it more durable. There are over 2,400 enterprises that specialize in silk garments in the city. Besides, the contribution of Hangzhou is maximum in the export of the silk products from the entire nation.
