Export of elastic shirts increases in March

According to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), in March, domestic enterprises shipped nearly 4 million elastic shirts to Taiwan, a rise of 59 percent. It generated revenue of approximately US $9 million, showcasing a year-on-year growth of 56 percent.
In the month of March, the average price of elastic shirt was quoted at nearly $2.2 per piece, a decline of 2.3 percent against same period 2007.
The textile and apparel exports turnover of Vietnam to Taiwan in March this year reached over $20 million, 3 times higher than previous month and increasing 30 percent on yearly basis.
