The Thai Textile Society invites its members and friends to a Collector's Corner on “The Sari — Indian Women's Choice of Attire” by Tara Srinidhi on Saturday, 31 May 2008 at 10:30 a.m.

The sari is the traditional garment of women in India. Measuring about 6 meters in length, these are worn in different ways according to the region in India. The cloth is usually woven of silk or cotton, with designs depicting regional influences.

Come and see Tara Srinidhi's collection of saris in both cotton and silk, from various parts of India. Tara will tell us about the colors and designs of the saris and show us how to put on one of these long, feminine garments.

Please meet at Tara's Srinidhi's home at Rishi Court, Apt. 2B at 71 Soi 15, Sukhumvit Road at 10:30 a.m. Her apartment building is deep in the Soi on the left side.

The cost is B100 for members and B200 for non-members.
