47th Man-Made Fibers Congress will be held on 17 - 19 September 2008 at Austria.
From the important future social and economic topics the following 5 mega trends will be of particular relevance to the Dornbirn-MFC: • the growing population and growing prosperity • new set of energy and raw material problems • "ecologisation" of products • product specialization and differentiation • shortening of product development cycle time and "time to market"
The 47th Dornbirn-MFC has therefore chosen Sustainability as main topic. The enlarged (Spain, France) programme committee was faced with a very difficult task: out of more than 160 high quality and innovative proposals only a maximum of 114 could be chosen.
For the first time the topic New Developments in Fibers will be presented throughout the whole congress.
Along with the other topics Safety, Technical Textiles, Nonwovens, Sportswear, EU Research Projects an impressive cross-section of the innovative capabilities of the man-made fibers industry and the scientific/technical potential of institutes and universities will be shown.
To meet with the dynamics of our times we have created a section called "Last Minute Highlights".
A maximum of 6 lectures can be held on brand new innovations that have come to our knowledge after the printing of the pre-programme and the congress itself.
