The organizing committee, the CTT Group and its partners (Hexagram, Concordia University, Industry Canada and the MDEIE) are pleased to announce the hosting of Expo Hightex 2008 this October 6 and 7, 2008, at the Bonsecours Market in Montréal (Québec, Canada).

Some fifty exhibitors from the Canadian technical textile sector and nearly 800 visitors are expected for this latest edition of the most important technical textile industry event in Canada.

Textiles are an essential element in our daily lives, work and travel. They evolve, becoming fire-resistant, ultra-resistant to cuts, thermally and acoustically insulating, anti-odour, antibacterial, intelligent and more, continually improving our daily lives, our well-being and our safety. These high-performance textiles are manufactured here in Canada.

Since its first edition in 2000, Expo Hightex has proved an indispensable event for the Canadian technical textile industry. Expo Hightex 2008 will bring together key players in the industry for an exhibition, two complete days of world-class conferences, a prestigious gala evening and the “BUYTEX” business networking sessions which will be attended by some twenty North American and European buyers.

Expo Hightex 2008 will highlight technical textiles in protection (Protech), technical textiles in transportation (Mobiltech) and technical textiles in construction (Buildtech). At Expo Hightex, these specialized textiles will be proudly displayed by their manufacturers and highlighted in a host of conferences by leading experts from various fields.

This event will enable visitors to discover and learn more about products on the cutting-edge of technology, develop a network and generate business opportunities. It's a one-of-a-kind opportunity to discover the expertise of Canadian technical textile manufacturers.
