Huntsman Corporation announced that, effective July 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Huntsman Corporation will increase list & off-list prices for all grades of the following products:
Huntsman said it would implement a Temporary Voluntary Allowance (TVA) of $0.06/lb. The net increase effective July 1st will be $0.06/lb, except as noted.
The TVA may be lifted at any time, pending price movements in crude oil, natural gas or any of Huntsman's other key feedstocks.
These increases reflect strong market demand and incorporate the surcharges previously announced by Peter Huntsman, President and CEO.
Sharp and relentlessly increasing costs in transportation, energy, labor and maintenance, as well as the need to invest necessary capital to ensure uninterrupted product availability, necessitate these increases.
Effective immediately, Huntsman will be implementing a 100% sales control based upon the last twelve months purchases for these materials.
Any orders taken within the last five business days of the month may be shipped the following month and will be billed at the increased prices.
