There are very few countries that are so well positioned for trade geographically as Poland. The country is the most perfect market for expanding into the European continent.

It has been learnt recently, that skilled Bangladeshi workers are finding new employment opportunities in Poland and this is likely to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Already there is a huge demand for Bangladeshi knitwear products in Polish market largely because they are of good quality and comparatively low prices of these products. In fact, entrepreneurs in Poland have plans to directly import these goods from the country instead of sourcing it indirectly from Germany.

Statistics shows that Bangladesh exported to Poland, knitwear products worth US $21.06 million in 2007 against $18.39 million in 2006. This substantial rise in exports explains the rising market demand for knitwear products like T-shirt, sweater and lady's polo.

On an average, knitwear, the second largest export earner for Bangladesh fetched $3.913 billion in the period between July and March of the current fiscal year, registering a surge of 17.34 percent over the same period last year.

During the same period, woven garments earned revenues amounting to $3.770 billion soaring by 7.54 percent over the same period last year.
