Acrylic fiber production for April depicts a downtrend

Production of acrylic fibers in the month of April stood at 40,808 tons, down by 3,295 tons or 7.47 percent compared to March and representing a year on year decline of 11,205 tons or 21.54 percent.
April sales registered a drop of 3,157 tons reaching 41,710 tons and droping by 7.04 percent compared to the previous month, showing a year on year decline of 14.83 percent or 7,260 tons.
Stocks for the month also plunged by 1.43 percent or 438 tons over March to touch 30,222 tons, depicting an increase of 504 tons or 1.69 percent compared to last year.
In terms of percentage, inventory levels were at 74.06 percent, an increase of 4.54 percentage points over last month and representing an annual growth of 16.92 percentage points.
April sales rate was 102.21 percent, up 0.48 percentage points from March and showing a year on year rise of 8.06 percentage points.
