Pink is flavour of 2008 for Textillery designer Judith

From the pink and green combos that defined the preppy chic era of the '80s to the delightful pink and brown tones so popular, pink continues to find its way into fashion and home décor.

Looking ahead to 2009, Textillery Head Designer Judith Rose expects pink to emerge as a pleasing accent tone as she has woven it into some of the newest throw designs set to debut during the summer 2008 gift and home shows in Chicago and New York.

These new designs along with countless others will be on view July 17-23, 2008 during the Chicago Gift Show in the Diane Baker & Associates Showroom, no 13-417 at the Chicago Merchandise Mart and August 16-21, 2008 during the New York International Gift Fair in the Accent on Design - Booth no 4121.

“As an accent color, pink will be a starlet on the decorating stage in 2009,” says Rose. “Pink never goes out of style, but it's certainly on the rise as a popular trend.

Through new design and color combinations, we're always seeking for ways to incorporate pink into casual yet elegant accents for the home. Fun and flirty to feisty and fashionable, pink adds a classically feminine touch to décor.”

Among the new pink designs coming out in August, include:
- STYLE ACM PL-CIT
This preppy-chic influenced plaid design infuses tints of baby pink, bubblegum and citron with azalea and sun accents. Suggested retail price is $215 for 42" x 72" and $290 for 52" x 72".

- STYLE TEX PL BUB
Candy hues of bubblegum, bright red, red pepper and natural sweeten this textured midweight design. Suggested retail price is $215 for 42"x 72" and $290 for 52" x 72".

- STYLE MP PL PAS
This midweight chenille plaid throw blends pastel tints of banana, moss, rose wash and bamboo to create a colorful patchwork design. Suggested retail price is $245 for 42"x72" and $300 for 52" x 72".

Each of the designs featured in this release are made with 100 percent rayon chenille yarns and are finished with a six-inch fringe border. Dry Clean Only.
