List elaborated by the Reputation Institute and disclosed in Forbes magazine, shows Braskem and Odebrecht among the 200 companies with the best reputation on the planet.

In a study conducted by the research and consulting company Reputation Institute, Braskem was ranked 176th of 600 companies in the world. The Odebrecht Group is also among the 200 most renowned, ranked 190th.

In this year's survey, the institute heard the opinion of more than 60,000 people who commented on what they thought of the companies. The questionnaires were made in February and March and analyzed 1000 companies in 27 countries.

The Reputation Institute study observes seven points considered key elements for a company's good image: products and services, innovation, work environment, social responsibility, corporate governance, leadership and performance. The most influential are products and services and social responsibility.

Petrobras, which was ranked 8th last year, fell to 20th this year. Nevertheless, it is still the highest ranked Brazilian company. First place went to Toyota, the automobile manufacturer.

Other Brazilian companies also on the list include: Usiminas (40th), Vale (43rd), Correios (50th), Votorantim (54th), CSN (72nd), Pão de açúcar (132nd), Banco do Brasil (165th) and Casas Bahia (178th).
