More than 1,000 suppliers will present home textiles from floor to ceiling at Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2008, one of the largest home textile trade events in Asia.

The show will run 26 - 28 August 2008 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre with more than 100,000 sqm of trade space - the largest show to date.

In addition to seminars and design events, visitors can take advantage of the show's convenient organisational format. Suppliers from Pakistan, Portugal, Taiwan and Turkey will be grouped into special regional pavilions while many international suppliers will form end-use product zones to help visitors quickly find exactly what they need.

The product zones and a few of the suppliers to look for include:
- Bedding and Towelling Zone
The bedding and towelling zone will include more than 1,000 sqm and will feature famous bedding makers including Lenzing from Austria; The Woolmarks and new-comer Gainpac from Australia; lifestyle store Shanghai Uchino from Japan, and from the USA, Blue Ridge Home Fashions and Cotton Council International.

- Curtain zone
This zone features curtains, blinds and all other window coverings and treatments. Several Spanish companies will join the zone including Aznar Textil, Jover and Rafael Catala. From Australia, Lilly's Décor is a first-time exhibitor and Swedish Turnils will present their environmentally friendly finished blind line called Nordic Light.

- Upholstery zone
The upholstery zone will be a boon for furniture manufacturers in particular looking for the latest technologies and products for upholstery. Some of the exhibitors to look for include Girones from Spain, Novatex from Italy and Tatra Manufactory For Rugs and Upholstery Textile from Saudi Arabia.

Programmes to keep visitors abreast of latest trends:
In keeping with the growing interest in modern sophisticated designs for home textiles and furnishing throughout the world as well as in China, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will feature several special events focusing on designs.

For the second year, famous designers from around the world will join an exclusive Designer's Studio, created to highlight textile design, including: Tom Lewis (UK), Nedgraphics (Netherlands) and Alvisi & Alvisi (Italy).

A Trend Design Seminar will feature lectures on colours, styles, furniture and overall design by four famous international designers. And the winning entries from two International Home Textile Design Competitions will display the sharpest new talents.
