Marriages driven by Olympics to boost home textile sales

Information gathered from various department shows that every year some one million marriages take place in China and since this year is the Olympic year, there is all the likelihood that this figure would exceed the present mark. However, it's the home textile sector which is reaping all the profits and booming because of these marriages.
The home textile sector which was nearly deserted for some time now has bounced back into action and is beaming as couples throng at shops for making huge pre-wedding purchases.
Sales of home textile products have increased by manifolds from last year, so much so that some stores have opened special areas for wedding home textiles and have launched special brands like 'century happiness and 'Life-long companion' for attracting consumers.
Experts surveying the market scenario are anticipating a spending of 2000-4000 yuan on home textiles per couple which would place the annual market capacity of the sector at 20-40 billion yuan this year bringing about huge developments in the domestic home textile industry.
