Americhem to display additive solutions for synthetic fibers ITMA + CITME

Americhem Inc, a global provider of custom color and additive solutions for synthetic fibers and other polymer-based products, will exhibit at ITMA Asia + CITME 2008 to be held July 27-31, 2008 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, China.
Americhem's display, located in Hall E3 Stand C20, will feature a variety of end-use products containing Americhem color and additive masterbatches.
A special focus will be a new line of additive products for PET fibers. End products on display will include automotive fabrics, awnings and other outdoor fabrics, and an array of apparel.
“This is a hallmark event for the fibers industry, and our presence at this show emphasizes our commitment to the Asia Pacific region and to the Chinese textile market,” says Clay Wedan, Vice President, International of Americhem.
A truly global show and the largest of its kind in Asia, ITMA Asia + CITME will feature over 1,200 exhibitors from around the world involved in every aspect of the global textile machinery market.
Over 100,000 visitors are expected during the show's run. The last ITMA Asia event was held in Singapore in 2005. Show organizers recently announced that the ITMA Asia + CITME show alliance will continue into the future at Chinese locations every two years.
Americhem is a leading supplier of masterbatches used in the production of solution dyed fibers and high-performance additives for the global synthetic fibers industry.
Solution dyeing is a process in which the colorant, preferably in the form of a masterbatch, is added to the polymer melt prior to extrusion into individual fibers. As a result, the color becomes an integral part of the fiber and is colored throughout.
Americhem masterbatches offer colors that resist fading due to UV radiation, abrasion, harsh chemicals and bleach. Although the company focuses on producing custom color masterbatch, a wide range of stock colors are available for PET, nylon 6, nylon 6,6, PP, and emerging polymers such as PTT and PLA.
The company operates a 35,000-square-foot full-service manufacturing facility in Suzhou Industrial Park. This facility recently achieved ISO 9001 certification, completing Americhem's multi-site ISO certification for all worldwide locations.
Manufacturing capacity was recently added to the plant in response to growing demand for the company's products in Asia. The company also operates a representative sales office in Shanghai, China.
