Yarn market report of July 10

The Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association, Karachi has released its market report for July 10, 2008. The report contains information on prices of cotton yarn, blended yarn, polyester yarn, sewing thread and major synthetic fibres.
Cotton yarn prices for most counts are ruling firm in Pakistan, in line with strong domestic cotton prices but prices of cotton yarn for 21's Ne has gone down by Rs 10-25, 22's Ne lost Rs 30-35 per 10 lbs for a few mills in the past week.
Demand has been moderate and very few transactions were done. Blended yarn prices also followed the downtrend with some counts losing Rs 1-2 per lbs.
