Cotton USA releases US cotton supply & offtake.
Highlights: • 2008-09 World mill use estimated at 125.9 million bales, down 1.3 million bales from June. • 2008-09 World production estimated at 114.9 million bales, down 1.5 million bales from June. • 2008-09 U.S. exports estimated at 14.5 million bales, down 500,000 bales from June. • 2008-09 U.S. production at 14.0 million bales, down 5.2 million bales from the 2007-08 crop. • 2008-09 China mill use estimated at 54.0 million bales, down 1.0 million bales from June.
