Intl carpet expo to witness huge participation in August

Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) is all set to hold International Carpet Exhibition from August 28 to 31 at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore. Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Prime Minister, Pakistan, will inaugurate the fair. Exhibitors from different countries will take part to display a wide range of hand knotted carpets.
Mr Mian Javaid-ur-Rehman, Chairman, PCMEA, informed Fibre2fashion, “We have invited nearly 200 guests to look at the grand display of carpets. Already 143 members from US, Canada, Japan, Middle East, Sweden, Australia, China, Iran and India have made registrations for showcasing their rugs here.
“Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) from India will also take part in the fair. "
The spectators will get an opportunity to see traditional and contemporary hand knotted carpets in different designs and textures. This expo takes place annually, once in Karachi and once in Lahore.
