Daily quotation of various textile materials on July 21

Monday, on July 21, PTA prices were adjusted, where as MEG prices saw a down trend. Semi-dull and bright polyester chips slipped lowered with thin trade volume. Prices of CDP section, PET bottle slice corrected.
Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm prices were stable; prices of CPL, nylon 6 slices moved in consolidation.
Even though market sentiment shrank, and trend for variety of products appeared more scattered, polyester filament market stood firm. One factory in Shengze region raised ex-factory price of FDY by 100 yuan per ton. Chemical fiber manufacturers are still facing sales pressure; especially DTY and bright FDY under significant pressure; majority of investors believe that overall market of polyester filament is most likely to move in a narrow ranged consolidation.
The latest VSF market price was at 16,100 yuan per ton, up 100 yuan during the weekend. Sales of cotton yarn 32s were better. Even cotton covered yarn 32s and cotton+40D spandex yarn saw a huge demand while products of other specifications experienced moderate trading. Price of polyester and viscose blended yarn remained steady. Currently market demand of polyester yarn 45s was better than other specifications.
Rayon yarn product prices were still high, mainly due to strong trend in VSF price. The latest market price of VSF was about 16,100 yuan per ton, 100 yuan higher than the weekend. Outlook of rayon yarn market is expected to show an upward momentum.
