Acrylic & polypropylene fiber output shows a mixed trend in June

In the month of June, China has seen fluctuating trend in terms of production of fibre. This is quite evident from latest figures obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics.

On one hand, acrylic fiber production touched 51,000 tons in the month of June, representing a decline of around 1000 tons or 1.92 percent from May and a substantial reduction of around 31.91 percent from the similar period last year.

In the first half of this year, total domestic production of acrylic fiber achieved 343,800 tons. The figures represented a plunge of 27.68 percent compared to same period year earlier.

On the other hand, polypropylene fiber output of above-scale enterprises reached 2.50 tons in this month only, showcasing a growth of 0.5 tons or 25 percent from May, and a year-on-year surge of 14.68 percent.

The data further depicts country's total output of propylene fiber marked 13.73 tons in the first half of this year; a rise of 39.67 percent from the same time a year earlier.
