Jul '08
After receiving financial loan from Chinese Government, one of the oldest textile mills in Sana, Yemen has started the renovation process. The site was recently visited by Sadiq Amin Abu Ras, Deputy Premier, Internal Affairs.

Latest machinery worth nearly US $6.2 million is getting installed in the mill that will boost the production to almost 7.5 tons of textile per day. A new garment manufacturing section is also coming up that would increase the daily output of factory to 10 tons.

Experts believe that this apparel unit will provide employment opportunities for nearly 2500 workers.

The textile unit that was established in 1963 with the assistance of Chinese Government is expected to get back into operations by September this year.
