Polyester filament market continue to remain dull

PTA, MEG prices saw a declining trend on Monday, July 28, along with CDP chips. Semi-dull and bright polyester chip prices moved downside with small trade volume; PET bottle slice looked slight steady.

Prices of acrylic staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm were stable; CPL, nylon-6 chip prices were under suppression.

Demand in the polyester filament market continue to remain dull, as POY prices fell; prices of some DTY declined slightly further. In comparison, offer price of FDY prices were saw a thin stability.

Weaving enterprises from the down stream markets are procuring in small quantities. The outlook of polyester filament market still looks fragile, and is likely to follow a moderate downward trend.

Today, overall cotton yarn market is in smooth correction; prices were in stability, now demand of 32s was better than other specifications.

Market transactions of rayon yarn shrank further. Among blended yarn products, polyester and viscose yarn product prices remained stable. A small number of polyester yarn products fell. The latest market focus of PSF is at 11,700 yuan per ton, down 100 Yuan from last weekend. Polyester yarn market is expected to move downward.
