STAHL makes two new top-level appointments in China

Stahl has recently made two important top-level appointments in China, reflecting the company's high profile focus on the Chinese market.
Andrew Fairhead has been appointed LF (Leather Finish) Division Director for Greater China In this role he has the responsibility for building up the leather finish-related businesses in China and increasing the volume of products manufactured in the Suzhou plant.
Andrew has a long history of technical and commercial managements in the chemical industry, starting his career in Stahl UK over thirty years ago. From there he emigrated to Australia to set up the Stahl Shoe Division based in Wetherill Park, a Sydney suburb. He ran his own businesses for many years and now rejoins Stahl from his most recent position as Asia Regional Business Director for a leading multi-national competitor.
Although Andrew is relatively new to Stahl he has quickly made a very strong start to building up the team spirit among the Chinese staff and has formed strong personal and business relationships with agent s and key customers. He is already a well-respected member of the LF Business Team, working under the direction of Hans Boots, the Global Leather Finish Director.
Fabrizio Ugolini has recently taken on the role of Leather Finish Technical Manager for the Chinese market. He brings with him many years of practical and sales/marketing experience in both the manufacturing and supply segments.
His hands-on tannery experience lasted for many years in his family-owned tannery prior to working as Global Sales and Marketing Manager for a multi-national competitor.
He is based in the newly-formed application laboratory in Shanghai and a key part of his role it to provide technical and marketing support for the team of local technicians and regional managers. His role includes the preparation of leather collections for the important annual Guangzhou and Shanghai leather fairs as well as product development to support the Chinese market and Stahl's local manufacturing site in Suzhou.
Working under the direction of Andrew Fairhead, Fabrizio's experience is already proving invaluable in training the local team with a view to providing a higher level of confidence when working with their customers.
