Margins reduce for cashmere enterprises in Ningxia

According to the statistics provided by the textile industry management office of the textile industry in Ningxia, the growth rates of production, output value, sales revenue and industrial added value of cashmere manufacturing enterprises reached about 20 percent in the first half of this year. However, the annual profits of cashmere processing enterprises dropped by 33.34 percent.
In the period between January to June, top cashmere enterprises in Ningxia are reported to have produced de-haired goat's wool amounting to 3,152 tons, registering a year on year increase of 24.14 percent.
Additionally, they also produced 411,400 pieces of cashmere sweaters posting an annual increase of 169.59 percent.
Some 24 top scale cashmere enterprises in the region recorded a cumulative industrial output value of 2.39 billion yuan, an increase of 23.14 percent. Besides, revenues from principal operations registered 1.901 billion yuan, representing a growth of 16.35 percent over the same period last year.
Even industrial added value went up by 21.5 percent amounting to 780 million yuan, realizing a profit of about 99.7 million yuan but still down by 33.34 percent from the same period last year.
