The rising standards of living triggered by 9% economic growth rate have thrown open new vistas for application of technology in areas of technical textiles. The application is spread across various sectors like infrastructure, health care, agriculture, packaging and consumer safety.

In many industrial countries value added technical textiles account for more than 40% of total manufacturing activity. However the contribution of the Indian textile industry towards technical textiles has been restricted to low technology and less sophisticated manufacturing.

-Create investment opportunities for entrepreneurs
-Understand the need for creating demand and promotional atmosphere for the same

The theme of the conference is to promote Investment Opportunities for Indian Technical Textiles. The conference will focus on Agrotech, Geotech, Buildtech, Protech and Sporttech.

The key note address will be delivered by Dr J.N.Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and the valedictory address by Mrs. Shashi Singh, Joint Commissioner of Textiles.
