Daily quotation of various textile materials on Aug 4

This Monday, on August 4, PTA, MEG prices portrayed a rising trend. Prices of semi-dull and bright polyester chips lowered; CDP chip price also plunged; however, the price of PET bottle slice got into correction.
On one hand, prices of acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm, and nylon 6 chip were stable and on the other, CPL price dipped.
Trading atmosphere of polyester filament remained fairly light. Purchase enthusiasm from down stream weaving was very low, and thus price showed a downward trend. Currently traders indicated a dull state of price development, coupled with weak purchases from weaving factories. Polyester filament would basically follow a cautious approach in production, therefore will continue to represents a slight fall through the period.
All cotton yarn prices were relatively stable as a whole, 32s, J40s were salable, air-jet yarn had better demand. Polyester and Viscose yarn prices were in steady consolidation.
Market prices of rayon yarns changed very little; 30s looked more welcoming with the price trend showing an upward direction.
Polyester yarn looked dull; VSF prices mounted up. Even though PSF prices were temporarily stable, a weak trade prevailed in the market. Outlook of yarn market is expected to maintain consolidation.
