Wool growers attract retailers once again!

The battle between animal rights activists and wool growers, which started off with major buyers boycotting wool from Australia, has entered a phase where clients are reverting back to their earlier approach.

The United States National Retail Federation recently acknowledged that most of its members had decided to continue buying Australian wool.

Most of the buyers were satisfied with the fact that pain relief measures were being undertaken before mulesing lambs. The knowledge that alternative measures to muelsing like clips are being adopted was like balm to their pricking conscience.

However, industrial experts strongly believe that unavailability of quality wool from other sources is one of the major reasons keeping US retailers dedicated to Australian wool.

As a matter of fact, since the country is the only supplier of finer gauge wool, it really would have been difficult for retailers to completely do away with Australian wool.
