Ethylene pieces show fluctuating trend

The production of ethylene had seen a tremendous surge in the past few years, due to rising demand in the international market.
In the recent past, drop in the crude prices had been affecting ethylene prices through out the world. However, present rebound in the oil prices has made its effect on the ethylene prices.
Prices quoted on August 27, saw a fluctuation. Stability in the prices can be observed in the Asian region. In the Far East and Europe fall can be seen; where as the US market noted a growth compared to the previous week.
Ethylene prices in Asia region:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $1340-1350 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $1300-1310 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Far East region:
Ethylene, FOB South Korea, at US $1310 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $1310 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Europe:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 1080-1085 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $1500-1510 per metric ton.
Price in the United States:
Ethylene, FAS Houston, at US cent 54.750-55.000 per pound.
