Oriental Rug Caravan arrives at Value City

This Friday through Monday only, the Value City at 51 Route 9 South in Englishtown, New Jersey will transform a section of the store into an oriental rug gallery, displaying an entire truckload of contemporary and traditional oriental rugs at 60 to 80 percent below regular retail prices.

The Manalapan Mall store is the first stop on a three-month caravan that will bring more than 3,000 top-quality rugs valued at over $1 million to 11 select Value City stores.

Value City's oriental rug caravan features a wide selection of scatter, runner, round and room-sized rugs of the superb quality usually found only in fine galleries, including handcrafted wool and hand-knotted Persian styles.

As an example, a five-foot by eight-foot traditional or contemporary rug that would normally retail for $499 at a fine gallery or department store is priced at only $99 - an 80 percent savings.

Value City was able to secure this exceptional deal through a special arrangement with a major importer of handmade rugs. During this one-time-only event, shoppers can bring fabrics and room measurements for a free consultation with rug professionals, who will be on hand to assist with selection.

Stores participating in the rug caravan are also carrying an exclusive buyout of fine home furnishings, including sofa-sized framed art, decorative table lamps, bedroom furniture sets and more, at a fraction of the original price.

For example, sofa and dresser-size mirrors with beautiful, ornate frames and beveled glass will sell for only $29.99 while quantities last.

As the rug showcase takes place for four days only, and many rugs are one-of-a-kind, Value City urges the public to shop now for the best selection.

After 9:00 p.m. Monday, the caravan will travel to the next Value City store, where rugs will be on display the following Friday through Monday.
