MDS Morrison Denim System exhibited at ITMA 08

Morrison Textile Machinery (USA) exhibited for the first time their MDS Morrison Denim System Preparation Machines at ITMA 08 which allows Morrison to exclusively offer a single source of supply for indigo rope dyeing and denim finishing/shrinking.

Morrison's Ball Warper MDS-450 BW includes several unique and innovative design features which will deliver a first class ball to the rope range.

- Servo driven linear traverse, programmable for infinite speed/travel adjustment
- Dual rack and pinion ball log hold down
- Programmable ball taper
- Smart Stop Technology and Smart Lease Technology

Morrison's ReBeamer MDS-550 RB includes design features and options to provide superior rope yarn opening.

- Heavy duty, ergonomic design for beam diameters up to 1 meter.
- AC Drive and control system for full functionality (stop/jog/run, doffing, beam reversing)
- Semi Automatic Beam Doffing
- Fast acting double end brakes
- Sheet strummer
- Safety Bar and operators Foot Pedal

Optional features include
- Press Roll with kick back
- Elevated Reverse Accumulator with improved design for speeds up to 60m/min
- Tub Turner which utilizes tub casters

Morrison also featured their SanforTROL the industries first closed loop control system for compressive shrinking. This innovative "first time" technology was introduced at ITMA 07 and remains the industries only true shrinkage control system. SanforTROL utilizes data retrieved from YieldMAX/YieldWARE coordinated through two marking and sensing devices to control the following parameters:

- Inbound fabric moisture
- Rubber blanket compression
- Main and Palmer temperature
- Motor Speed of Palmer and Cooling Cans by laser sensor
