Bluestar Silicones will showcase its new Silcolease Optima system in Booth 3604 at Labelexpo Americas 2008, September 9-11 in Chicago.

The new Silcolease Optima series enables silicone coaters the flexibility to customize for fast cure, low temperature or platinum reduction. Now, with the Silcolease Optima line, converters can optimize formulations and coating processes to achieve improved productivity and efficiency gains.

In addition, Bluestar Silicones will introduce its new Silcolease Poly 366 solventless system, which provides a true flat release profile for all converting speeds and label dispensing systems. As part of the Optima series, Silcolease Poly 366 enables reduction of scrap in converting operations and eliminates dispensing issues in labeling systems.

“We are very excited to introduce Silcolease Poly 366 solventless polymer that is exceptional in its ability to deliver a truly flat release profile,” says Ron Hanks, business director, Bluestar Silicones USA. “Combined with our Optima system, we can offer real value to the industry through the unique advantages our systems offer and enabling liner producers and laminators to be more competitive in the marketplace.”

In addition, Bluestar Silicones will feature its full line of Silcolease silicone products for release coatings and pressure sensitive adhesive applications including solventless thermal, solventless UV/EB cure (cationic and free radical), emulsion and solvent-borne systems.

With more than 30 years of experience as a global supplier and innovator in silicone paper release coating solutions, and as the inventor of silicone mixing technologies, Bluestar Silicones offers expertise, knowledge, and innovation in the silicone market unmatched in the industry.

Bluestar Silicones is a $610 million worldwide silicones manufacturer established in 2007 through China National Bluestar Corporation's acquisition of Rhodia Silicones. Bluestar Silicones, which has manufacturing operations in all regions of the world, combines upstream silicon metal operations and capacity with downstream silicone market and applications expertise.
