According to the statistics released by General Administration of Customs, Chinese apparel exports touched nearly US $75.02 billion from January to August this year. This marks an increase of 2.6 percent from the same time of 2007, of which, August exports of clothing registered $12.53 billion.
However, in the first eight months of 2007, export of clothing had fetched $73.11 billion of revenue for the nation.
China earned approximately $62.48 billion by exporting garments in overseas markets from January to July this year, an increase of 3.4 percent. From the total, July exports of apparel amounted to almost $12.52 billion.
Even the export of textile yarn, fabric and other related textile products enjoyed a good demand from various countries across globe From January to August 2008. China earned nearly US $43.91 billion of revenue by exporting these products to various nations.
On the other hand, in the first eight months of 2007, China had earned $35.87 billion of revenue by shipping textile yarn, fabric and related products.
The revenue generated showcases a considerable boost of 22.4 percent when compared to same period of 2007. From the total, August earnings reached around $6.05 billion.
From January to July 2008, China's total exports of textile yarn, fabric and other commodities amounted to almost $37.86 billion, boosting by 24.4 percent from the same time of 2007.
