Cotton USA (Cotton Council International) releases Global Economic Update.
Highlights: • 2008-09 World mill use estimated at 123.7 million bales, down 840,000 bales from August. • 2008-09 U.S. exports estimated at 14.5 million bales, down 500,000 bales from August. • 2008-09 U.S. production at 13.9 million bales, up 80,000 bales from August and down 5.4 million bales from the 2007-08 crop. • 2008-09 China mill use estimated at 53.0 million bales, down 500,000 bales from August.
