Overall market performance of polyester filament remain dull

During the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, or the Moon Festival from September 13 to 15, a holiday mood prevailed in the market. Taking the advantage of this situation PTA, MEG prices adjusted. However, semi-dull and bright polyester chip fell further. CDP section and PET bottle chips stayed in correction.

Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm were stable. CPL, nylon 6 slices were temporarily steady.

Overall market performance of polyester filament was dull; prices were generally low. Production and marketing rate of local manufacturers was not satisfactory, inventories were on the rise. The whole market has adopted a wait-and-see attitude. Most of the buyers are of the opinion that market prices will further decline.

All cotton yarn prices were relatively stable; cotton yarn 32s still had demand that is mainly used in production of nylon / cotton cloth on air-jet looms.

Polyester yarn 45s and 50s cut their price level.

Prices of polyester and viscose yarn, blended yarn showed very small changes. Rayon yarn price went flat, but trade volume was small.

Price focus of PSF continued to decline.

Outlook of products with contents of polyester is expected to show a modest downward trend.
