Welspun wins gold at TEXPROCIL award ceremony

Recently, 54th Texprocil Export Achievement Award ceremony was held in Mumbai and the 2007-08 award for the best exporter went to Welspun India ltd.
The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) annually organizes an award ceremony wherein it honours the textile related enterprises for their efforts and achievements.
A special gold prize was given to Welspun India for having excellent overall exports in the year 2008-09. Arvind Ltd bagged the silver prize and Alok Industries Ltd acquired the third position and received the bronze prize in the global export category.
Other awards were given under separate categories that included cotton yarns, cotton fabrics, made ups, merchant exporter and special Achievements. The special gold prize is to honour the single most meritable export performer.
