This anti-fingerprint wax emulsion can be applied simply by spraying, immersion or with a cloth and forms a dry film on the surface that can be cleaned easily. BASF offers the product in a ready-to-use formulation.
Hydrophobic treatment for water- and dirt-repellent surfaces:
BASF is extending its range of hydrophobing agents by adding an environment-friendly alternative: the wax emulsion Mincor W 500 is water-based and free of fluorine-containing hydrocarbons or silicone oil.
The new BASF product protects susceptible surfaces such as metal, glass, wood and ceramics and has the effect of repelling water and dirt. Its main use is in automotive polish products.
Beyond that, Mincor W 500 can also be used in waterborne coatings. Cleaning agents are another area of use: if the new hydrophobing agent is added to these products, the treated surfaces then have self-cleaning properties for a time.
Polymer with excellent hair conditioning properties:
With Luviquat Sensation, BASF now has a new type of polymer for shampoos and conditioners in its portfolio.
The polymer is supplied in an aqueous solution and is therefore especially easy to process. With it, hair is easy to comb after washing, though still full of volume, and feels naturally soft after drying.
UVA filter offers the best possible protection against free radicals:
Anyone wanting to counteract premature skin aging must ensure effective protection against free radicals caused by harmful UVA radiation. Uvinul A Plus from BASF is the UVA filter that offers the best protection at the present time.
This UVA filter is available in the form of granules and is especially suitable for skin care products with an anti-aging effect, sunscreens with a high sun protection factor and self-tanning products.
