Nya Nordiska exhibition cum launch at Emporio Atrium
The celebrated and internationally renowned German textile brand, nya nordiska, was launched amidst much fanfare at the Emporio, Atrium in New Delhi on October 6, 2008. After enchanting the Western world for over 40 years, nya nordiska has set foot into the Indian market bringing with it the elegance and sophistication that can only be associated with luxury.

A family owned textile brand from Germany, nya nordiska, has been introduced into the country by Maishaa, an established luxury home fashion textile brand in India. Inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of German Federal State Lower Saxony, Mr Christian Wulff, the unveiling of nya nordiska's collections was a well attended and glamorous affair that brought together many noted names from the across industries like Retail, Fashion, Architecture, Hotel management, Interior Decoration, among many others.

Present at the launch to personally introduce the brand were members of the Rontgen family that owns nya nordiska - Diete Hansl-Röntgen (President), Remo Röntgen (Vice President) and Sybila Hansl (Vice President). Of the three, Diete Hansl-Röntgen and Sybila Hansl who are also a part of the Nya Nordiska design team took the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas behind their inspirations for creating magic with fabric.

At the launch party, Remo Röntgen, Vice President nya nordiska said, "Our first point-of-sale through Jagdish stores in India marks the start of what I know will be an exciting journey in this tremendously dynamic country. Each collection that we design is a labour of love and we are delighted to present our exclusive range designed in Germany, to India. We are confident that our modern and elegant designs will captivate the Indian consumer."

At the launch Mr Arun Garg, President of Maishaa, India said "By introducing nya nordiska we at Maishaa have come a step closer in providing a holistic luxury experience for soft home furnishings. We are extremely excited about our collaboration with this internationally acclaimed brand and look forward to expand its presence across the country."

The Emorio, Atrium was elegantly adorned with magnificent fabrics from the house of nya nordiska, creating an ethereal, almost dream like ambience for the guests. The innovative use of colour and textures on the soft flowing fabrics make nya nordiska's collections look like works of art.

Nya Nordiska - Collections
Pure Perfection: "Pure Perfection" combines fabrics of non-colours with the discreet colours of wood and stone. A distinct yet understated use of form offers peace and balance for the eyes and soul. It is created for those who require clarity and geometric discipline in their living environment. Here you will find interesting basic materials such as linen, wool and high-tech fabrics, as well as grainy structures and high-low effects.

Creative Concept: Strong contrasts, fresh clear colours and natural beauty. The world of "Creative Concept" demands attention, emphasizes and indicates "joie de vivre". Here you will find embossed motifs and colour rich fabrics which are reminiscent of far-away lands. The designs combine in a courageous and even unconventional way. For open-minded people who feel comfortable within vital, inspirational home surroundings.

Luxury Life: The world of "Luxury Life" represents glamour, luxury and opulence. Silks and satins, embroidery on velours and transparent fabrics transform any interior into a sparkling backdrop. As a counterbalance to a functional, technical world, romance, sensuality, sophistication and craftsmanship are combined here.
