Textile Association, Rajasthan to host 64th All India Textile Conference

The Textile Association (India), established in 1939 and presently having membership more than 20000, is the largest body of textile professionals/technocrats/academicians of India striving for the growth of Indian Textile Industry. To provide strength & impetus to this aspect, the Textile Association (India) acts as a potent link amongst the Industry, Policy Makers, Academia and Textile Professionals.

The Association organizes annual conference (popularly known as AITC) to strengthen the ties amongst industry, policy makers, academia and textile professionals. Its upcoming venture i.e. 64th All India Textile Conference on 20th & 21st December 2008 is being hosted by Rajasthan Unit. The Conference with the theme “Indian Textile and Apparel Industry: Adapting to Global Changes” will be a great morale booster for the Indian Textile Industry. This conference to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, Bhilwara is expected to be attended by more than 1000 delegates from various parts of the country.

Hon'ble Governor, Rajasthan State, has consented to be the Chief Guest for the inauguration of this conference. The theme of past conferences indicates how progressively, the textile industry has been responding to the forces of globalization.

The two day's conference with the theme “Indian Textile and Apparel Industry: Adapting to Global Changes” will have research papers presented by many eminent personality from Japan, Czechoslovakia, UK, New Zealand and IIT & NIFT Delhi also by technocrats from various industries across the world. The deliberations will also be there from machinery / instrument manufacturer from Switzerland, Japan, Germany and India and Fibre Manufacturers from India.

Apart from the technical papers, the renowned professionals, expert bureaucrats and Industrialists from the textile fraternity will be making their valued presentation to the gathering on various burning issues. The deliberations will be on the topics - Innovations in Products and Processes, Recent Developments in Textile Machines & Equipments, Technical Textiles, New Applications in Textiles, Winning Strategies for Apparel Industry, Developments in Polyester – Viscose Products, Human Resource Development & Priorities and Corporate Social Responsibilities etc.

The conference shall provide a platform to discuss and debate the desired path of growth for various fields of textiles to the attending participants. The leaders & pioneers of textiles representing fibre producers (including organic cotton), machinery manufacturers, traders, dyes-chemical producers, ancillary manufacturers and others to participate in addressing & contributing to the theme of the conference.

The state of Rajasthan - abode of Rajas has become the foremost & leading destination in India on account of its rich cultural and historical heritage coupled with the Industrial development. The industrial growth, particularly textile sector, has given a new dimension to the State of Rajasthan. The export of Textile goods comprising of P/V & Cotton yarns, fabrics, ready-made garments, carpets etc.
