A statistical report from Vietnam National Textile and Apparel Group (Vinatex) shows that the organization fetched export revenue of US $883 million during the first seven months of the on-going year, representing a year–on–year surge of 20.8 percent.
The group has also witnessed remarkable growth in its production, including fibre (up 96.5 percent), fabric (107.5 percent), and knitwear (16.4 percent). Most importantly these raw materials were used for both local production and exports.
To fulfill country's exports goal of fetching $9.5 billion in 2008, Vinatex has recently reset its target, which showcase a rise of 20.7 percent year-on–year. Now the Group aims to earn $1.7 billion by exporting various products to different countries.
