Marimekko Corporation, Dolce & Gabbana S.r.l. and Dolce Gabbana Industria S.p.A have reached a settlement agreement concerning Marimekko's trademark Unikko, referred to in Marimekko's stock exchange release dated July 2, 2008.

The parties have agreed on the handling of already manufactured products and on the fee to be paid to Marimekko, and will both withdraw all the legal proceedings concerning the Unikko trademark, including the proceedings pending in front of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), with which the nullification of the Unikko trademark was asked.

The settlement does not affect Marimekko's assessment of the outlook for the remainder of 2008 published in the Interim Report of August 21, 2008.

Marimekko is a leading Finnish textile and clothing design company that was established in 1951. The company designs, manufactures and markets high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories under the Marimekko brand, both in Finland and abroad.
